Combining skills in design, illustration and animation, she creates visual explainers and infographics to help our readers understand the complex stories that we tell. A member of the CNN team since 2015, Way has grown from their position as an editorial illustrator into a multifaceted role as a visuals editor. Her background in book and printmaking brings with it an adaptive approach to communication design that translates traditional techniques for use in today’s digital media.
Mullery grew up in the Washington, D.C. metro area, graduating from George Mason University with a BFA in New Media. She now resides on the west coast of the United States in the San Francisco Bay Area.
