Molly English is a producer with CNN’s Political Unit in Washington, D.C., covering and researching the 2024 presidential election.

Before diving into the world of politics, she spent over two years as a researcher on the Row, CNN’s fact-checking department, as a researcher in both Atlanta and DC. During her time there, she fact-checked and helped to cover events like debates, the State of the Union, and the 2022 midterms, as well as breaking stories like the fall of Kabul and the war in Ukraine. She began her CNN career as an intern there in 2020.

Prior to CNN, English was the executive producer of “The First Five”, a documentary chronicling the story of the first five men to integrate the University of Georgia’s football team. She also produced a documentary about the first two students to integrate the school.

English graduated from the University of Georgia with degrees in journalism and political science and is an Atlanta native.
