Marianne Garvey is an Entertainment Writer for CNN Digital.

Before joining CNN in May 2019, Garvey was a reporter at the New York Post for eight years covering everything from crime to celebrity. While at the Post, she was selected to work out of News International in London. She was also a writer and editor for E! News in the New York bureau covering everything from fashion week to celebrity trials. From 2012 to 2016 she was the editor of Confidential, a daily column covering entertainment news in The New York Daily News. Garvey has written for numerous other publications, including Glamour, Elle, and Good Housekeeping, and also starred on two television shows, The Gossip Table on VH1 and City Girl Diaries on Style Network.

Garvey graduated from St. John’s University where she studied English and Communications. She is currently based in New York City.
