Mallory Hughes is an assignment editor and producer on the Newsource Digital team at CNN, where she manages digital content going to and coming from affiliates, and also writes stories for CNN Digital.
Prior to joining CNN, Hughes was a digital content producer at WUSA, the CBS-affiliate in Washington, DC. While working in the nation’s Capital, she was a freelance researcher and writer at the Washingtonian magazine. She has also worked for Chicago magazine and Playboy.
Hughes received a master’s degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, and a bachelor’s degree in journalism and English from the University of Iowa. She was born and raised in Fargo, North Dakota.
