While at CNN, Lear has been the recipient of the Edward R. Murrow Award for excellence in social media for CNN’s social coverage of the 2016 election, in addition to a Webby Award recognizing the same 2016 campaign.
Lear joined CNN in 2008 and is based in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut with a degree in Media Studies.
