Jim Murphy is Senior Vice President of Programming for CNN. He previously served as Vice President of Morning Programming for CNN and Senior Executive Producer of Early Start and New Day.

He started in broadcast journalism as an intern at WPIX-TV in New York as a high school senior and has worked in television ever since.

He produced flagship newscasts at both WCBS and WABC in New York.

Moving to network news he served as the executive producer of CBS This Morning and the CBS Evening News and the Senior Executive Producer of Good Morning America. He is the recipient of multiple Emmy, Murrow and other journalism awards.
