James Legge is an Editor for CNN International based in Hong Kong, responsible for helping to drive a range of news coverage in Asia and across the world, as well as overseeing longer feature stories.
He has a Masters in print journalism from the University of Sheffield. After beginning his career at newspapers in London, he worked as an editor in Hong Kong at the South China Morning Post and as an Asia editor for the AFP news agency.
Since joining CNN in 2024, he has helmed weekend digital coverage, including during key moments in the conflict in the Middle East, as well as Asia.
