Based in Hong Kong, she has international experience in digital and print journalism as a writer and editor covering news and culture.
Before joining CNN, she worked on the Asia Pacific desk at French news agency Agence France-Presse, where she edited breaking news and features from around the globe.
She also worked as a digital editor at the South China Morning Post during the Hong Kong protests and the outbreak of Covid-19.
Lee was born and raised in South Africa, where she gained a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and a Master’s in literature from Rhodes University.
