Darren Tome is the Vice President of Digital Products at CNN where he oversees the Digital News Platforms and Services (DNPS) product team that builds solutions enabling editorial teams to create, format and distribute their stories to all digital platforms and partners.
Before joining CNN, Tome served as Senior Vice President of Product at Mashable/Ziff Davis where he led a team that built out the Mashable Velocity suite of products focused on discovering, creating, optimizing and distributing editorial, commerce and branded content across multiple platforms. Prior to Mashable, he worked at Viacom/BET and NBCUniversal in product roles focused on advertising, analytics, video, and consumer experiences.
Tome was born and raised in Hawaii and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a master’s and bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Management. He is based remotely out of Los Angeles.
