Dan Berman is the assistant managing editor for CNN Politics, leading the digital coverage of legal and justice issues, the Supreme Court, immigration and government agencies and policy.

Berman came to CNN from National Journal, where he was assistant managing editor. Previously, he was the White House editor at POLITICO, and helmed money and politics coverage. He was also the founding editor of POLITICO Pro Energy, editor of Environment & Energy Daily and Land Letter and a senior reporter at Greenwire.

A native of San Diego and graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, Berman first appeared on CNN Digital in 1996 as part of the Children’s Express news team covering the Republican National Convention.
