Brett Roegiers is the associate director of photography at CNN Digital. He supervises a global team of editors who cover breaking news, politics, business, entertainment and features. He also leads a team of editors who commission, license and produce photo-driven stories.
Brett helped launch the CNN Photos blog in 2011 and went on to become its lead editor. He was also one of the photo editors behind “Unprecedented: The Election That Changed Everything,” a book that features exclusive work from more than two dozen photographers who chronicled the 2016 US presidential election.
While earning his journalism degree at the University of Florida, Brett cultivated a knack for web development and design with a focus on multimedia storytelling.
In 2019 Brett was named one of the visual editors of the year by Pictures of the Year International. His work has also been recognized by the National Press Photographers Association, American Photography and the Webby Awards, among others.
