Antonia Mortensen is an award-winning field producer based in London.

Her role has seen her travel the globe, covering some of the most important stories across Europe, the Middle East and Africa over the last decade, including the Paris and Brussels Attacks and the migrant crisis, for which CNN won numerous awards.

Mortensen has also covered the African continent extensively and was central to CNN’s coverage of the missing Chibok girls in Nigeria, where more than 300 girls were kidnapped by Boko Haram. CNN was awarded a Peabody Award for this coverage.

Additionally, Mortensen has covered FGM in East Africa, the disappearance of MH370, the shooting down of MH17, the implementation of the anti-homosexuality legislation in Uganda, Greek economic crisis, the Amanda Knox trial in Italy, the Vatican, mass shooting in Norway, Israel, NATO, European and US relations with Russia, Civil Conflict in South-Sudan, Brexit, Scottish Referendum and many more.

Before becoming a field producer, Mortensen worked as newsdesk editor in London and was an associate producer on a variety of feature programs at CNN including “World Untold Stories.”

Mortensen received a Bachelor’s degree from King’s College London. She is fluent in Polish, Danish and French.
