Anna Cooban is a reporter covering global business, economic and financial news for CNN’s digital and TV platforms. She is based in the network’s London bureau.
Since joining CNN in 2021, Cooban has reported on stories ranging from the turmoil in global energy markets following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to US President Donald Trump’s trade war.
Before CNN, Cooban worked as a policymaker for the Mayor of London’s post-pandemic economic recovery program where she focused on boosting employment in the clean energy sector.
Prior to that, she spent three years as a management consultant.
Cooban has lived and worked in France, India, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.
In 2014, she worked for several months at the United Nations Development Programme in Jordan, helping create media campaigns on Syria’s refugee crisis.
Cooban is a graduate of Oxford University.
