Republicans won eight of 11 gubernatorial races, giving them control of 27 governorships nationwide. Democratic Attorney General Josh Stein will win in North Carolina, while former GOP Sen. Kelly Ayotte will claim victory in New Hampshire, marking a comeback after her Senate loss eight years ago.
