Rep. Mondaire Jones is one of thirteen Democrats in the primary for New York’s 10th District as he seeks a second term. Former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio dropped his bid in July, but remains on the ballot. Benine Hamdan is the Republican nominee. Democrats currently control 18 out of the state’s 27 US House seats to seven for the Republicans and two vacancies. The state lost a seat after the 2020 census.
