Hurricane Ian made landfall as a Category 4 storm on Florida’s west coast and left a destructive path of torrential rains, flooding and record storm surges in Naples and Fort Myers. At least 100 people have died and that number is expected to rise.
The hurricane then made another landfall in South Carolina as a Category 1 storm, flooding homes and vehicles and knocking out power for hundreds of thousands in the Carolinas and Virginia.
Residents in the destructive wake of Hurricane Ian are picking up the pieces and recovery is underway.
