The Ryder Cup is the world's fiercest golfing rivalry and one of the most anticipated events in the sporting calendar.

It pits the US against a European team, with Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin, US, the host venue this year.

The 43rd edition of the famous competition kicked off on Friday at with four foursome matches followed by four fourball matches.

The biennial tournament was delayed a year from its original date due to the coronavirus pandemic.
