What makes it great: New hires participate in a comprehensive training program that includes a speaker series, lunchtime learning sessions and networking opportunities.

The financial giant actively seeks diverse talent, partnering with organizations like the Multicultural Women's Council and Employers Forum on Disability to help recruiting efforts. The bank strives to "create an inclusive environment for our employees where they can bring their full selves to work," says a global human resources spokesperson.

Not that everything's perfect. The company has endured prolonged legal woes, many related to the housing bust and financial crisis. And after a Bank of America intern in London died last month, the company reportedly is reviewing working conditions for junior employees.

What they're looking for: Sure, business and finance majors are sought after, but so are those with computer science or organizational development degrees.

"We look for students who have passion and are proactive in their efforts to learn about our company and find the career that's right for them," the spokesperson says.

The bank offers roughly 20 analyst programs in audit, global banking and markets, and other business areas. --L.G.
