Scott Corley is Vice President of Master Control Operations for CNN News Group. In this role he oversees the ingest, media management, integration and content outputs for the domestic and international News channels which encompass all live programming, replay/longform programming and commercial break content. This includes oversight of linear and streaming content such as CNN+, the UK Live Stream and International Common feeds. Corley is based in Atlanta.
In his current role, he served as a core team member on the Next Gen Master Control project which centralized the Master Control operations for the News Groups, Sports/Entertainment and HBO into a single state-of-the-art facility. Corley was also on a key player in the launch of CNN+ which represented the first live streaming, virtualized Master Control within CNN. His other responsibilities include project and budget management, personnel development, training and performance management and strategic planning.
Corley previously served as Director of Operations for two years, managing the technical operations of the CNN en Español production centers in Atlanta and Miami as well as the Master Control operation for all of CNN. In this position, he was instrumental in creating a production center in Buenos Aires to bring new content opportunities to the channel as well as launching CNN en Español’s HD Master Control. Corley also helped create an unmanaged content feed for Japan to maximize international brand recognition and revenue.
Corley earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from the Henry W. Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia. He also attended the National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) Leadership Conference in 2012, contributes to the UGA Mentorship program and is a member of the National Eagle Scout Association.
