Elizabeth Stuart is a Supervising Producer, based in CNN’s New York Bureau. She produces for CNN Special Correspondent Jamie Gangel across all platforms, including coverage of the audio tapes of President Donald Trump’s interviews with journalist Bob Woodward, and both of Trump’s impeachment trials. Stuart also heads the Education beat, looking at ways the coronavirus pandemic has impacted students academically and emotionally, as well as the process of reopening for districts nationwide.
An award-winning journalist, Stuart was previously a producer for Erin Burnett OutFront and New Day, and has covered events including Hurricane Florence, the mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, and the 2016 presidential election. She also worked on special projects with anchors Chris Cuomo and Alisyn Camerota and high-profile interviews including those of Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, her Vice-Presidential running mate Tim Kaine, Bikram yoga founder Bikram Choudhury, and Amanda Knox, the student convicted then cleared of killing her roommate in Italy.
Before joining CNN, Stuart spent eight years at ABC News. She’s a graduate of New York University and lives in New York City, where she is also a screenwriter and marathon runner.
