Ashley Killough is a senior producer based in Dallas and covers national news in Texas and beyond. She previously worked as a Congressional producer for CNN in Washington with a focus on the U.S. House of Representatives and moved back to her native state of Texas in 2019.
Prior to Capitol Hill, Killough covered the field of Republican candidates in the 2016 presidential race as an embed producer for two years, ending on Donald Trump’s campaign. Since joining CNN in 2011, Killough has held a variety of reporting and producing roles covering politics and domestic news across multiple platforms.
From Plano, Texas, Killough is graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and Baylor University. She also spent a year in Armenia on a Fulbright grant working on journalistic projects.
