Hi from CNN, this is Madeleine Thompson with the five things you need to know for Wednesday, November 27th. Things appear to be going smoothly for Thanksgiving travelers today, but it looks like cold air and bad weather will start to spread throughout the country starting tomorrow. CNN's Elisa Raffa has the latest.

We have a storm that's developing, it's bringing some rain and snow from Colorado through Kansas over to Missouri. So again, in the Midwest, there could be some problems, spots on the roads. But what happens is the storm is really going to flourish as we go into tomorrow and pack so much rain and snow along the East Coast. It's going to be a pretty soggy Thanksgiving for a lot of those parade spots, too, in New York and Philadelphia. When it comes to travel, you can see now we have major problems possible in New England where we could have some snow, really pile on a couple of inches and that could be a problem going into tomorrow. Then behind this, we have cold air coming in and that's going to pump the lake effect snow machine through the weekend. A couple of inches of snow possible there, and then the snow continues to wrap around the Great Lakes through the weekend. Could be some problems in Chicago.

I feel like you should bring a lot of books. Most likely, you're going to need something to entertain yourself.

'Israel facilitated the medical evacuation of 34 patients from Gaza today, according to Israel's Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories. The unit said in a statement that the patients will receive medical treatment in Jordan and the U.S.. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office also announced today that Israel will appeal arrest warrants against Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant, which were issued by the International Criminal Court last week. Netanyahu met with U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham in Jerusalem today and -- in a news conference -- Graham said he'll promote measures in Congress against the ICC and countries that cooperate with it.

The leaders of Vice President Kamala Harris's presidential campaign are blaming a variety of external factors for the Democrat's defeat three weeks ago. Senior adviser Stephanie Cutter and David Plouffe, campaign chair Jennifer O'Malley Dillon and deputy campaign manager Quentin Fulks spoke to Pod Save America host David Pfeiffer in a recent podcast interview. One of their most cited issues was the abbreviated length of Harris's campaign.
"Pod Save America" excerpts
00:02:30
And 107 days. You know what typically takes us a year and a half, two years in a presidential campaign? There was a price to be paid for the short campaign. In a 107 day race. It is very difficult to do all the things you would normally do in a year and a half, two years. And it's honestly a lot shorter than 107 days. We had a candidate, a Democratic candidate get in 107 days out. This isn't the problem of a 107 day campaign to solve.

'The officials also pointed to President-elect Donald Trump's attack on Harris's support for transgender rights and what they saw as a lack of pressure on her opponent from traditional media.

A judge has ruled that the White man charged in the 2023 shooting of a Black minor will be prosecuted, following a mental health evaluation. 17 year old Ralph Yarl mistakenly went to 86 year old Andrew Lester's home to pick up his younger siblings and was shot in the head and arm after ringing the doorbell. He survived with serious injuries and potential long term brain issues. Lester has pleaded not guilty to one count of felony assault in the first degree and one count of armed criminal action. The trial was originally scheduled for October 7th, but was postponed after a local judge ordered a mental health evaluation of the defendant. According to court documents, it'll now begin in February of next year. Coming up, larceny at Lululemon.

'A Connecticut couple is accused of stealing nearly $1 million from Lululemon stores in an elaborate, multi-state shoplifting plot. Jadion Anthony Richards and Akwele Nickeisha Lawes-Richards are each charged with organized retail theft under a Minnesota law signed by Governor Tim Walz only last year. They were both assigned public defenders, and requests for comment from CNN to their attorneys were not immediately returned on Monday. The charging documents show that both suspects face a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison, a $35,000 fine, or both if convicted. That's a wrap. We'll be back tomorrow with episodes at 6 a.m. and noon Eastern.
