Macron thanks workers for 5-year Notre Dame reconstruction
After a five-year restoration process which cost over $700 million, French President Emmanuel Macron toured Notre Dame cathedral on November 29 and gave a speech thanking the restoration workers. In total, nearly $900 million was raised through donations from 340,000 donors in 150 countries. According to Rebuilding Notre Dame de Paris, the remainder of the donated money will likely be used to "benefit the cathedral" in other ways.
