LeBron James is the first NBA player in history to score 50,000 points.
The Los Angeles Lakers star reached the milestone Tuesday night in a game against the New Orleans Pelicans.
James became the NBA's all-time leading scorer in 2023, breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's regular-season record of 38,387 points. His latest milestone includes points scored in both the regular season and the playoffs.
James is one of the greatest basketball players in history and one of the world's most recognizable athletes. He has won four NBA titles over his 23-year career, most recently with the Lakers in 2020. He has also won titles with the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
In addition to being the NBA's all-time scoring king, James is also fourth all-time in assists and sixth in steals.
