A police car is burned during the anti-capitalist Million Mask March near the British Houses of Parliament in London on Thursday November 5. The hacker group Anonymous organized the protest.

An unattended police car is set on fire in Queen Anne's Gate in central London during the protest on Guy Fawkes Night, an annual commemoration in the UK of a failed plot to kill King James I in 1605.

Protesters wear stylized masks of Guy Fawkes, one of the plotters of the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605. The masks have been widely adopted by the Anonymous movement.

Fifty arrests were made during the protest, police said.

The Million Mask March moved through central London past many of the British capital's landmarks.

A YouTube video promoting the march promised would be "the biggest global protest in the history of the world."
