Porsche's development director Wolfgang Hatz celebrates with winning drivers Nick Tandy, Earl Bamber and Nico Hulkenberg, after the 83rd Le Mans 24 Hours endurance race.

F1 driver Hulkenberg led the No. 19 car to victory on his debut, with Porsche's No. 17 finishing second -- a lap behind the victors' total of 395 trips around the French circuit.

The prestigious race started on Saturday afternoon at the Circuit de la Sarthe.

The three drivers in each car swapped stints at the wheel as darkness fell.

Porsche's No. 17 car was led by ex-F1 star Mark Webber, who co-drove with Bamber's fellow New Zealander Brendon Hartley and Hulkenberg's German compatriot Timo Bernhard.
