Katie Glaeser is an Editor with CNN’s News and Alerting team, with an emphasis on breaking news and mobile programming. She’s a content curator responsible for story selection, headlines and images that appear across CNN Digital. Katie manages flagship social accounts, sends breaking news alerts, and collaborates with editorial, product and design teams on content optimization and workflow improvements. Her editorial decisions are driven by her news judgment as well as content performance and analytics. Katie also engages in the world of off-platform and emerging technology, offering an editorial perspective on new products and feature enhancements for Apple News, Google Newsstand, VR, Google Home and the Amazon Echo and Show.
As a 10-year CNN veteran, Katie spent years as a researcher, coordinated logistics and booked guests for shows, such as ‘Wolf’ and ‘The Situation Room,’ and produced from the field for events like the aftermath of the 2013 EF5 tornado in Moore, Oklahoma. She also led the overhaul of the CNN Stylebook. Katie has a serious obsession with sticky notes and is convinced one day her guilty pleasure of watching soap operas will come in handy.
