Vaughan began with CNN as a news production intern for “American Morning,” the precursor to “New Day.” She later covered breaking news for the network’s New York-based general assignment desk as a news assistant.

She is currently a producer for CNN Special Projects, focusing on editorial-sponsored content and original series programming.

Vaughan graduated with honors from Loyola University Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in communication.
