Ten people, including a police officer, were killed in a shooting that took place Monday at a grocery store in Boulder, Colorado.
Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, the 21-year-old suspect, is in custody and charged with 10 counts of first-degree murder.
Witnesses say a person came into the King Soopers grocery store at 3600 Table Mesa Drive and began shooting. Police were dispatched to the scene at approximately 2:40 p.m. MT (4:40 ET), and they entered the store and engaged the suspect, Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold said. Herold said gunfire was exchanged, the suspect was shot in the leg and some officers were injured.
