He deleted the offending photo and apologized
Al Roker has apologized for a selfie that was deemed insensitive.

South Carolina flooding: dams breached, more trouble ahead
Roker deleted the photo – which was captioned “My crew and I getting ready to report on East Coast flooding from S. Carolina on @NBCNightlyNews with Kate Snow” – after many on social media started complaining about the “disaster selfie.”
After the outrage, Roker tweeted, “I apologize for being insensitive,” and for those who had worried about the driver of the damaged vehicle, he added, “The woman in that car got out without injury. We Should not have been in the picture.”
