Donald Trump who?
While the Republican presidential field dealt with their own celebrity in the room, Hillary Clinton was in Los Angeles rubbing elbows with the Kardashians.
Kim Kardashian, family matriarch Kris Jenner and Kardashian’s husband and hip hop mogul, Kanye West, all put out pictures of themselves hanging out with a smiling Clinton at her L.A. fundraiser.
“I got my selfie!!! I really loved hearing her speak & hearing her goals for our country! #HillaryForPresident” Kardashian posted to Facebook with a picture of herself, Clinton and West, shortly after the GOP debate wrapped up.
Earlier in the night, as the second tier of Republican candidates were debating in the happy hour time slot, she had tweeted that she had hoped to get a picture with the Democrat, who she called “our next president.”
Kardashian’s mother got her own picture with Clinton, posting to Instagram, “An Honor to meet you Hillary Clinton! Great evening… #ohjustchatting.”
Clinton had a speaking event in Los Angeles for home health care providers and consumers Thursday night, followed by a fundraiser, and she had emailed supporters she wouldn’t be watching the debate (though her campaign did send a fundraising email off of it later).
“I’m not watching, and I don’t need to be. Donald Trump, Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Marco Rubio – they all have the same agenda. They are out of step with the kind of country Americans want for themselves and their children,” Clinton said.
The Clinton fundraiser was at the home of Scooter and Yael Braun with about 225 guests, all contributing a minimum of $2,700. Other celebrities in attendance included Tom Hanks, Usher and Jessica Alba.
