The premise of apps like Highlight is interesting: Arrive in a new city and instantly discover which friends (and friends of friends) happen to be around you. Get a notification that your buddy is at the same restaurant.
In reality, people don't want their location broadcast all the time -- for privacy reasons, and because that absolutely murders your smartphone battery. That's why Google(GOOGL) shuttered its Latitude app, and Highlight never gained any traction.
