Time Warner Cable (TWC) customers near Corpus Christi, Texas, missed the Super Bowl last year, while the cable company fought with Cordillera Communications, which owns a handful of local TV stations in Texas, including an NBC affiliate. The dispute left subscribers without the NBC affiliate for longer than five months in 2011 and 2012.
