Last minute travel changes? No problem. Many hotels have no cancellation policies, so one startup built a business to capitalize on that.
Like an Airbnb for hotels, Roomer is filled with people trying to dump non-refundable hotel reservations. Those looking for discounted hotel rooms are also in luck because the site compares pricing to travel booking engines like Expedia, Travelocity and Getaroom. (Hint: Roomer is cheaper.)
All rooms featured on the site have been pre-approved by the hotels (the startup has partnerships with over 200,000 hotels.)
Roomer, which just received $5 million in funding, claims to save average of more than $200 for "buyers" and $300 for "sellers." (They take a 15% cut on all transactions.) Book away!
