"Containers are particularly well suited for beach homes because of their resistance to nature's harsh elements," said Paul Galvin, CEO of SG locks.
Galvin provided the six hurricane-resistant shipping containers used to create this home located just feet from the ocean in Amagansett, NY. And he was able to deliver them for less than $15,000 per container.
Architect Andrew Anderson incorporated some of the container's elements, such as the corrugated steel ceiling, as well as some higher end amenities, including a huge exterior deck space with a pool.
Known as the Beach Box, the home is currently listed for sale for $975,000.
