Kyshira Moffett, 22
College: Hampton University
Degree: Master of Business Administration
Current job: HR Development Program at PNC Bank in Pittsburgh

How I got my job: I had six internships before my job at PNC. I also participated in seminars and conferences. I was a Management Leadership for Tomorrow fellow and was a part of their career prep program, which selects top diverse students from across the country.

This 18-month fellowship included a career coach who had industry experience, four seminars hosted by top firms, career fairs, and workshops that ranged from resume writing to interview preparation.

I interned with PNC last summer in the retail banking department, and while there, I began to network with top executives in human resources. I then applied for a full-time HR position and was fortunate enough to receive an offer.

Advice for current students and recent grads: Take advantage of every opportunity, even if it doesn't appeal to you in the beginning. Network, talk to anyone and everyone you can. The power is in the follow-up -- if you say you are going to do something, do it.
