One would expect big things from working at a big tech company, and Microsoft delivers. Starting on day one, interns get started on real, meaningful work right from the get-go by getting to work on projects alongside staffers who've been at Microsoft for years.

"Name a Microsoft product you've seen released in the past couple of years, from Halo to HoloLens, and I'll tell you about an intern or new employee who's worked on it," said Microsoft University recruiter Anthony Rotoli.

Then there are the perks. They range from an on-campus salon and mini day spa, 11 different restaurants, a bank, retail stores, dry cleaning drop-off, pickup soccer, cricket and Xbox games with coworkers, 33 cafes, 37 espresso stands, paid membership to full-service gyms along with money to spend on other fitness programs, doctors who make house calls, 55 wifi and power-enabled coaches and shuttles for employees, electric car charging stations and serious discounts on Microsoft products.
