Saskya Vandoorne is a senior field producer for CNN based in the network’s Paris bureau.

Vandoorne has delivered award-winning reporting across France and Europe, covering breaking news, investigations, and exclusive cross-platform features on culture, travel, and sport. She spearheaded CNN’s coverage of major stories in France, including a hard-hitting investigation into the Gisele Pelicot case, the reopening of Notre Dame cathedral, and the 2024 Olympic Games.

In 2025, Vandoorne received a Gracie Award for her immersive investigative piece looking at Dominique Pelicot and his recruitment tactics.

Beyond France, Vandoorne has reported on major international stories and led coverage for the network’s TV and digital platforms from CNN’s Europe and Africa bureaus, including the Covid crisis in Kenya, the Wagner Group, and Ukraine’s counteroffensive against Russia. Her contributions to CNN’s ongoing coverage of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine have earned prestigious journalism accolades, including the Aldred I. DuPont-Columbia Award.

Previously, Vandoorne was based in CNN’s New York bureau, producing for Richard Quest, CNN’s leading business correspondent. In this role, she produced international news segments for Quest Means Business, securing exclusive interviews with world leaders and high-level CEOs.
Vandoorne covered global economic events across the United States, Latin America and Europe, including the International Monetary Fund meeting in Lima, Peru, and the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Vandoorne began her career at CNN in 2012 as an assignment producer in the network’s EMEA headquarters in London, specializing in breaking news.

Vandoorne holds Bachelor’s degrees in English and French from Durham University and Journalism from Sciences Po, and a Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Columbia University in New York.
